It really was a nice addition to the fish. I opted for the rice pilaf and I'm glad I did. It is hard to put into words the way this fish just melts in your mouth.

The veggies were not under cooked, a big plus for us.
It was paired with veggies and red potatoes that were cooked perfectly for our taste. All of the flavors worked very well together and equally done. The pecans provided a nice woody flavor while the apricots added sweetness. My wife had the Pork Tenderloin Scaloppini as her main course and I had the Corvina. This was fantastic! The black beans and corn work really well together and the shrimp and sauce were fabulous. We started off with Southwest Black Bean Corn Cakes topped with Jumbo Shrimp.
WOW! It was a great experience and we both agree, this ranks on or near the top of our favorite places for fine dining in Winchester. The Senator had lunch with two other people. While we were eating, my hike leader and her husband came in, and were surprised to see us there. We were seated next to the door, and could see everyone who came in. I learned that Wyld Thyme had been open since August, but had not previously heard about it. The evening offerings included steaks, salmon, chicken, lamb, shrimp, and scallops, all at somewhat upscale prices. While we were waiting to be served I asked to see a dinner menu. We both selected chicken salad sandwiches from the menu. In addition, a small blackboard listed several daily specials. The single-sheet luncheon menu listed soups, salads, and sandwiches, along with a single main-dish entree with ravioli. The kitchen entrance was on the left side of the room, in the front. The walls had a few artsy pictures of various types. The wine bar was along the back of the room, but had no patrons while we were there. The floor was covered with a plastic material the ceiling was quite high, perhaps as much as 16 feet up, and planked. The restaurant has one L-shaped room, with tables that would seat perhaps 55 people. This was a new restaurant that had been described in The Winchester Star that very morning. My wife and I had lunch on Januat the Wyld Thyme Café and Wine Bar, 3103 Valley Avenue, in Winchester's Creekside Station business park.
